In-depth review
Pulsed Media Seedbox Review
Comprehensive review of seedbox services, features, and performance
Overview
Pulsed Media has been running its own datacenters in Finland since 2010, and prices like almost nobody else: the entry plan starts at €1.99 a month, and the RAID5 M10G line puts 2 TB on a 10 Gbps link for €8.99. The catalogue is unusually deep — over thirty references across the Dragon-R 20 Gbps RAID10 range, HDD and SSD M10G tiers, 1 Gbps M1000 plans and standalone storage boxes — which is both its strength and its main source of confusion. Stock is genuinely limited and displayed tier by tier, so the plan you want is not always orderable on the day you look. Support runs on tickets and a public charter rather than live chat, and the control panel shows its age. For price-per-terabyte hunters comfortable reading a spec sheet, nothing in Europe is cheaper.
Key Features
- 10 Gbps and 20 Gbps networks
- RAID5 / RAID10 redundant storage
- rTorrent, Deluge, qBittorrent, Sonarr, Radarr
- Plex, Emby and Jellyfin on HDD tiers
- Rclone, Rsync, Restic, Borg backup
Pros
- Entry price under €2 a month (€1.99)
- Own datacenters in Finland, operating since 2010
- RAID5 and RAID10 redundant storage on most tiers
- 20 Gbps network on the Dragon-R range
- 14-day money-back guarantee
- Very wide catalogue, including storage-only boxes
Cons
- Limited stock — popular tiers are often unavailable
- Dated control panel and website
- Ticket-only support, no live chat
- Traffic quotas on most plans
- Single location (Finland) — higher latency outside Europe
Verdict
Pulsed Media is the value benchmark of the European market: at €8.99 for 2 TB on RAID5 and 10 Gbps, no mainstream provider comes close on price. You pay for that with a dated interface, ticket-only support and stock that runs out on the popular tiers. Recommended for experienced users who know exactly what they want and check availability before ordering; beginners will be better served by a provider with a modern panel and immediate provisioning.
